Charleston, SC

One of our best food trips was to Charleston, South Carolina. So many good restaurants for Breakfast and Dinner;  so stuffed we couldn't eat lunch!

Thanks to Connor's former coach at Quinnipiac, Bruce Frady, for helping us navigate the Charleston scene including Charleston Grill and the roof top bars at Market Pavilion (really cool scene with a pool and great views) as well as The Vendue.

I had to have the shrimp and grits, a southern classic, at Hominy Grill a perfect brunch location.  The Beermosa was a first for me as well.

First dinner was at FIG (Food is Good) and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had. I had hoped for a meal with my favorite fruit - figs but that was not meant to be.  Deceptive advertising! :)

Had to ask the waiter at Husk to get me a knife to cut the coffee but really hit the spot.
Grill 225 makes a fine steak with some crispy onion strings.

Slightly North of Broad (SNOB) had some of the best clams ever.

Benedict Oscar with a real slab of steak was unusual but excellent at Another Broken Egg.
